The global design community across all industries reunited for the most anticipated week of the year! Milan was filled with creative collaborations, inspirational art installations and futuristic exhibits.

Gradients a classic in the past decade had a break last year but are fully back this year.

Themes – Gradients

Pops of reds and oranges between natural tones enliven the classic look of the cream shades and give a youthful freshness to the luxurious ambience.

The power of powder shades were seen all over Milan design fair this year.

The hues rank from elegant pinks and cool blues to complex lilacs and refined yellows.

Sophisticated cream tones were the preferred language to showcase timeless clean luxury.

Warm and cool shades can be combined and were often seen together with satin metallics.

Greens were again a major color seen across Milan design week.

The Shades ranged from calm Nature-inspired shades like olive and forest greens, over sea foam and aquatichues to more bright and vivid shades like turquoise or artificial emerald.

Navy Tones made either subtle and grounding partner for natural colors or stood separate as a richer and more vivid version of the classic black.

The cognac tones which was one of the major colors of last years fair comes back this year with more of a red, orange undertone. This gives a fresh new twist to the classic version.

Quilting and Embroidery continue to make a strong presence.

Traditional diamonds to intricate registered patterns. The use of different thread thicknesses and colors to add new dimension and contrast.

Embossing and Intarsia emerge as a big idea for 2023

Embossing patterns range from simple elevated designs to logo work

Color blocking intarsias create an interesting technique that makes different colors and materials appear to be in laid with one another.
